1Acceptance of terms
By accessing, booking, or using any service provided by CARS2GO Rental Services, you ("Client" or "Renter") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2Eligibility
- Drivers must be at least 18 years old
- Must hold a valid driver's license for at least 1 year
- Must present valid identification and required documents
CARS2GO reserves the right to decline any booking that does not meet verification standards.
3Bookings & payments
- A reservation fee is required to secure a booking
- Full payment must be settled prior to vehicle release, unless otherwise agreed
- All payments must be made directly to CARS2GO or its authorized representatives
All payments are non-refundable, including reservation fees
4Security deposit
A security deposit is required for all rentals. Refund processing: 24–48 hours after vehicle return, subject to inspection. Deductions may include damages, fuel discrepancies, carwash/cleaning, toll fees/RFID charges, traffic violations (including NCAP), extensions, penalties, and other applicable charges.
5Rental period
- Rental duration is strictly based on the confirmed booking schedule
- Early returns are non-refundable
- Extensions must be requested in advance and approved by CARS2GO
6Late returns & penalties
- Up to 6 hours late: 10% of daily rate per hour
- Beyond 6 hours: charged as full-day rental
- Failure to return may result in vehicle recovery, reporting to authorities, and legal action
7Vehicle use policy
The client agrees to use the vehicle responsibly, allow only authorized drivers, and use within the declared destination. Strictly prohibited:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Illegal activities or unauthorized commercial use
- Subleasing or lending the vehicle
- Off-road use or driving through flooded areas
- Smoking or carrying foul-smelling items inside the vehicle
8Client liability
The client is fully responsible for the vehicle from release until official return, including all damages, loss or theft, third-party damages and claims, and all legal fees and penalties.
9Damages, accidents & reporting
In case of accident: notify CARS2GO immediately, secure a police report, and submit required documents. Failure to report results in full liability. Charges may include full repair cost and downtime fees at 50%–100% of daily rate.
10Traffic violations (including NCAP)
The client is fully liable for all traffic violations, NCAP penalties, and any administrative and processing fees. CARS2GO reserves the right to charge these directly to the client.
11Vehicle return conditions
The vehicle must be returned on time, in the same condition (except normal wear and tear), with complete accessories and documents, and with the same fuel level. Additional charges apply for excess dirt, missing items, or fuel shortage.
12Company rights
CARS2GO reserves the right to repossess the vehicle without notice if terms are violated, charge applicable fees, refuse service at its discretion, and take legal action when necessary.
13Limitation of liability
CARS2GO shall not be liable for loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle, delays caused by traffic or weather, or indirect/consequential damages arising from vehicle use.
14Force majeure
CARS2GO shall not be held responsible for failure or delay due to events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, road closures, government actions, or civil disturbances.
15Privacy policy
CARS2GO collects and processes personal data for booking and rental processing, identity verification, payment and billing, and customer support. All data is handled in accordance with applicable data privacy laws in the Philippines.
16Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.
17Amendments
CARS2GO reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be effective upon posting on the website.
